The North West & North Wales Coastal Group and the North West Regional Monitoring Programme are holding a ‘Shape of the North West Coast’ conference on the 12th and 13th June 2018 in Southport. This free, 2 day event aims to bring together all those with an interest in coastal risk management in the North West and will share best practice and facilitate closer partnership working to identify the opportunities in the challenges ahead by:
- Showcasing what has been learnt from nearly 10 years’ worth of strategic coastal monitoring
- Demonstrating the value of coastal monitoring data in informing long-term strategic decisions
- Promoting the work of the North West North Wales Coastal Group and other coastal partnerships
- Highlighting technology, research and innovation on the coast
There is also a site visit to Hesketh Outmarsh Managed Realignment Scheme led by the RSPB.
