Digital Skills Programme Launched by Google to Benefit Coastal Tourism

Google has launched a new digital skills programme which aims to help boost tourism at the seaside which is part of the Government’s new Digital Strategy and Digital Skills Partnership. The Google digital skills partnership includes the British Hospitality Association, National Coastal Tourism Academy and UKinbound.. The programme aims to provide digital communication and advertising skills to small businesses and communities at the coast, specifically in seaside towns, which will help expand the industry. Some communities are thought to be entirely digitally excluded and therefore this scheme will help them learn about using computers and the internet. Google experts will be providing face-to-face mentoring and training, all of which will be provided free of charge.
