Closes Monday 14th September 2015
The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is inviting bids for a share of up to £50,000 of the newly created £3 million Coastal Revival Fund, to be spent in the 2015/16 tax year.
The Coastal Revival Fund has been created to jump start the revival of key heritage and community assets around England’s coast which are important to local communities but are in need of restoration or other work to help them reach their full potential. The Fund is intended to act as a catalyst, attracting additional funding from other sources and helping to boost local economies.
Projects, which can include non-tangible work such as feasibility studies, could include work on improvements to promenades, piers, parks, lighthouses, marinas, public squares, etc.
DCLG is inviting bids from local communities, charities and councils of up to £50,000 per project, to be received by DCLG by 23:59 on Monday 14 September.
