Updated post-event:
Following on from the successful Celtic Seas Partnership project and ongoing work through the SIMCelt project and Irish Sea Maritime Forum, the Irish Sea Maritime Forum held a discussion on future work on Thursday 13th July at the University of Liverpool. This discussion brought at range of stakeholders together to develop mechanisms for future collaboration at the Celtic Seas scale. The agenda covered:
- An introduction to the Celtic Seas area
- Key messages from the ISMF, and Celtic Seas Partnership and SIMCelt projects
- Next steps for Celtic Seas collaboration
There was a lot of interesting and active discussion on possible ways forward, with the consensus view being that stakeholders need a mechanism for continuing engagement at regional sea scale. A note summarising the outcome of the meeting is being prepared and will be made available in due course – watch this space!
