#BinItForBeaches is a nationwide campaign that was recently launched by the national bathing water campaign group to raise awareness of the implications of leaving waste at the coast. The campaign aims to highlight the problems associated with litter left on the beach which can be unsightly and detract from people visiting the coast. The campaign also highlights that leftover food dropped at the beach is eaten by seagulls and birds causing a nuisance to beachgoers but also meaning that birds are more likely to hang around and poo in the sea where children paddle and swim.
