Maritime Affairs and Fisheries have issued their newsletter for October 2014. The content of the newsletter includes tackling illegal fishing issues in Sri Lanka, Belize, Fiji, Panama, Togo and Vanuatu, Commission decreases deep sea fishing opportunities in the North-East Atlantic to protect vulnerable species, European Fisheries Fund and associated local developments, proposed multiannual fisheries management in the Baltic Sea by the Commission, EU research into economic growth of aquiculture and updates on Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries membership (STECF).
