Coastal Access Update – August / September 2014

Natural England’s Cumbria Area Team has produced August and September Cumbria Coastal Access Monthly Updates and these can be downloaded below. They cover progress on the 2nd length of coast to be developed: Whitehaven to Silecroft and the recently announced 3rd stretch (Gretna to Allonby). In addition the national team has published the August England Coastal Path Update, covering progress across England and detailing the relevant Coastal Access Delivery leads for each area.

In other related news Defra has published their Access Newsletter Issue 62, July 2014, which includes an item on National Nature Reserve access dedication and a link to the Local Access Forum newsletter issue 4.
