In November 2016 a stakeholder workshop was run by the JNCC (Joint Nature Conservation Committee) to help provide scientific advice on the suite of site options from which they could select potential Marine Conservation Zones (MCZs) that could form a third tranche of MCZ designations. The advice was requested of JNCC and Natural England by Defra. Outputs from the workshop can be viewed here and includes:
- Post workshop reports including summary reports from 8 MCZ breakouts (workshop sessions)
- Supporting workshop materials including agenda, workshop guide, Area of Search option summaries and conservation advice approaches papers
- Data including shapefiles and coordinates for 8 MCZs
- Presentations including ‘Assessing progress in the MPA network and identifying options to address shortfalls.’
