2016 Coastal Tourism Report Published

The 2016 Coastal Tourism report from the National Coastal Tourism Academy has been published. The report covers England’s coastline and highlights the value of coastal tourism to the economy at £8billion with 13.7 million seaside trips in the past year, the majority of these short overnight stays. This figure represents a third of all English overnight holidays stays. Opportunities to expand the sector are discussed which focus on targeting those 55 years and over as well as promoting health and wellness.
