Closes 5th September
English Heritage is currently seeking feedback on a series of recently published Good Practice Advice Notes aimed at helping local planning authorities, applicants, consultants, and other interested parties to implement the historic environmental policy contained within the National Planning Policy Framework and related guidance. The Good Practice Advice Notes published in July 2014 are:
- Historic Environment Good Practice Advice Note 1: The Historic Environment in Local Plans
- Historic Environment Good Practice Advice Note 2: Decision-Taking in the Historic Environment
- Historic Environment Good Practice Advice Note 3: The Setting of Heritage Assets
It is intended that these documents, along with more detailed information (Technical Advice in Planning) will replace both the PPS 5 Planning and the Historic Environment: Historic Environment Planning Practice Guide (2010) and other pieces of English Heritage guidance.
