Introducing the New North West Coastal Coordinator
Hello everyone! My name is Taz and I am the new North West Coastal Coordinator. I am excited to be a part of the North West Coastal Forum, working with partners along the North West coast and beyond to develop the work of the NWCF.
I have experience working in the marine sector, from supporting teaching on shark research vessels to working at national conferences. I have also worked in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion supporting people and coordinating logistics, so I am keen to bring experience from both of these sectors to support the North West coast and the communities that live along it.
My academic background includes a BSc in Marine Zoology and a Masters of Research in Marine Ecosystems from Newcastle University, both of which have allowed me to work with stakeholders to engage them in marine research across the world whilst producing research papers, gaining practical field experience and seeing first hand why coastal communities need to be involved in climate resilience work.
I am really looking forward to working with local communities, organisations and partners to protect and support the North West’s coastline together.
Thank you for supporting the NWCF and the North West’s coasts.
