Funding: Burbo Bank Extension Community Fund

Ørsted has committed a Community Fund of approximately £225,000 per year for the lifetime of the Burbo Bank Extension Offshore Wind Farm. Grants of between £500 and £20,000 are available for eligible projects supporting coastal communities within the designated fund area in the Irish Sea.

The fund supports projects located in coastal communities off the Irish Sea (please refer to the map for eligible areas). The map can be found here.

The Burbo Bank Extension Offshore Wind Farm is located west of the existing Burbo Bank development in Liverpool Bay. Construction was approved in December 2014 and the project officially opened in May 2017. Further information about the wind farm development can be found here.

Following a detailed community consultation process, the Burbo Bank Extension Community Fund is now open to applications.

Late applications submitted after the closing date will be considered in the next funding round (approximately six months later).
