Cumbria Local Nature Recovery Strategy Published

Linn Wiberg

The Local Nature Recovery Strategy for Cumbria has officially been published.

This LNRS has been led by Westmorland and Furness Council. It has been developed in partnership with Cumberland Council, the Lake District National Park Authority, the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and Natural England.

The Cumbria LNRS consist of two parts – a Statement of Biodiversity Priorities and a Local Habitat and Opportunity Map – setting out priorities for restoring biodiversity across the county.

Following a public consultation earlier this year, the strategy has now been finalised and submitted to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
