Coast-R Network Annual Forum 2026: Investment for rejuvenating coastal communities
Date: June 25, 2026
Location: The Spine, Liverpool
Coast-R is a UKRI-funded network of academics, local government, regulators, businesses, and community groups dedicated to the development of resilient coastal communities.
The Year 3 COAST-R Network Annual Forum (25 June 2026, The Spine, Liverpool) brings together academics, local government, regulators, businesses and community groups to explore coastal resilience through the three pillars of sustainability: economic, social and environmental.
This year’s conference is comprised of two sessions.
The morning session focuses on economic and social themes, including public-private partnerships, social value, and innovative funding approaches to support local investment and regeneration, ending with a panel discussion.
The afternoon shifts to environmental and social dimensions, with collaborative sessions on planning for coastal change. Throughout the day, presentations are complemented by interactive workshops designed to encourage shared learning and practical collaboration.
