Natural England has published a December 2017 update on progress on the England Coast Path in the North West. The coast from Silecroft to the Welsh border on the Dee Estuary is described as ‘proposals in development’ but only one stretch of the coast – a 36km stretch from Allonby to Whitehaven is fully open,
