The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has set out an action plan for a clean power system by 2030.
The action plan aims to tackle 3 challenges that the UK faces:
- Maintaining secure and affordable energy
- Creating ned industries and investable opportunities
- Protecting the environment from the effects of climate change
This action plan sets out the plans of the government to support and accelerate delivery of new infrastructure and the pathway to clean power systems, with everyone’s involvement.
The connections reform annex was republished in April 2025 as there was misalignment between the government’s solar capacity allocations and the actual solar project pipeline forecasted for 2031 to 2035.
