The Environment Agency is seeking your feedback an approach of working together to review and update the river basin management plans in 2027. The river basin management plans are updated at the end of a 6 year planning cycle, where the next update is due 2027. In order to understand the appropriate steps to take before the update, the EA is seeking feedback.
Working Together (this consultation) is the first consultation within a process of reviewing and updating the river basin management plans. It sets out:
- Consultation steps
- Proposed timetable
- Ways of getting involved in contributing to the updated plans
Your views can help:
- Identify which organisations that should be involved
- Ensure that EA have identified appropriate strategies and mechanisms, under all planning systems
- Raise awareness surrounding what would help engagement with the reviewal process
Responses to this consultation will help establish what has worked well and what needs improvement regarding the updates of river basin management plans.
