Consultation closes: 24 January 2025 at 11:59pm
Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), together with Ofwat and the Environment Agency, have collated draft information and guidance on storm overflows. The consultation covers existing policy and legislation with the aim of supporting water, sewerage companies and regulators in managing and regulating storm overflows.
They are seeking feedback from:
- Water companies
- Trade bodies
- Environmental non-government organisations (eNGOs)
- Other key stakeholders, including industry groups, research institutes, and engineering and environmental management organisations.
Defra will send out a ‘consultation responses’ document to these groups for their responses.
The consultation is also open to other interest groups and members of the public. Views from there groups can be provided to Defra by emailing: [email protected].
