We are pleased to announce that booking is now open for the North West Coastal Forum’s free-to-attend regional conference – Coastal Habitat Creation and Restoration in North West England 2025. This is an in-person event taking place in Carlisle on 6th and 7th March.
About the Conference
On the 6th March there will be a full day conference featuring expert talks, a workshop, exhibitions and the announcement of the winners of the North West Awards for Coastal Excellence (see separate news item on how to apply for NWACE). The conference will be followed by a site visit to the Solway Coast on Friday 7 March to look at the Solway Firth Partnership’s CLEARcoasts Project work trialling saltmarsh restoration.
Our event aims to:
- Share learning and best practice for coastal habitat creation and restoration projects in North West England and elsewhere
- Discuss mechanisms to facilitate future coastal habitat restoration and creation work
- Celebrate and champion collaborative coastal work
The event is for anyone (individual or organisation) with an interest in coastal habitats and nature conservation work. You will gain greater knowledge and understanding of the potential for habitat restoration and creation in North West England and will have an opportunity to meet others with relevant experience and common goals, potentially helping you develop and collaborate on future projects.
A full programme will be available closer to the event.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with nature and contribute to the health of our coastal communities. See you there!
