Sea-Changers has announced a new round of funding, following the successful introduction of the Coastal Fountain Fund in 2020. Grants of up to £2000 are available.
The aim of the funding is to reduce the impact of single-use plastic water bottles on coastal habitats. The fund helps coastal communities and non-profit organisations to purchase public drinking water fountains for installation in busy or particularly environmentally important coastal areas.
This year Sea-Changers are particularly encouraging grant applications from North West England as this area was under-represented in the 2020 funding round.
The fund sponsor is Bunzl plc. who are supporting this work as part of their response to the plastic challenge.
