UPDATE – this workshop has been postponed and will now be held in the autumn. More information will be posted at that time.
The Support Unit for the Atlantic Action Plan, working with the Irish Sea Maritime Forum, is holding a workshop on EU funding and project development for the Atlantic Area in Liverpool. This follows on from the national event held in Liverpool in December 2015 and is part of a series of events being held across the area covered by the Atlantic Strategy. The aim is to provide delegates with an opportunity to meet others with an interest in developing relevant projects with a view to maximising the opportunity to participate in EU funding streams such as Interreg which are available for the Atlantic Area. The full day event, which is free to attend, includes an afternoon session of parallel, themed workshop sessions and the Support Unit is currently seeking expressions of interest from stakeholders wishing to organise or contribute to these workshop sessions.
The Atlantic Action Plan is designed to implement the Atlantic Strategy – an EU blue growth initiative to create jobs and contribute to economic development in maritime and coastal regions. The Plan includes traditional sectors such as fisheries and tourism alongside newer sectors such as marine renewables.
More information will be posted in due course when booking information becomes available.
