Closed Consultation: Draft National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy for England

Closed 23:45 on 4th July 2019

The Environment Agency is seeking views on the draft FCERM strategy which sets out a vision for a nation ready for, and resilient to, flooding and coastal change – today, tomorrow and to the year 2100.

Under Section 7 of the Flood and Water Management Act (FWMA) 2010 the Environment Agency has a statutory duty to develop, maintain, apply and monitor a national flood and coastal erosion risk management strategy. The new Strategy will be published in 2020 and will replace the last national flood and coastal erosion risk management strategy which was published in May 2011.
