Closed – Consultation – Welsh National Marine Plan

Closes 29th March 2018

The Welsh Government is consulting on a draft marine plan for Wales. As part of the consultation a series of public events are being held across Wales in January . These events are designed so that stakeholders can meet members of the marine planning team and discuss how marine planning may affect them. In addition there will be a conference on the 20th February in Cardiff.

North West and South West England stakeholders should note that this plan will cover the Welsh parts of the Severn and Dee Estuaries and there is a need for this Welsh plan and any future English marine plans for these areas to align for effective long term management of our joint marine resource.

24th January – Bangor
25th January – Aberystwyth
26th January – Flint

The draft plan is supported by an evidence base. Spatial aspects of this are contained in an online GIS portal which can be accessed here.
