OK – so this is not a week – as usual it’s a whole fortnight of marine goodness to enjoy! The theme this year is ‘The Sea and Me’ and we are all encouraged to explore our relationship with the sea.
National Marine Week is organised by the Wildlife Trusts across England. For news and information about what’s happening on the North West’s coast follow this link to the Wildlife Trusts’ Irish Sea site. This includes a searchable events list with things to do ranging from welly walks and sandy shore searches to whale and dolphin watches. There are rainy day events too, such as the Secrets of the Irish Sea workshop at the Atkinson in Southport.
