Research in Flood and Coastal Risk Management

The Summer 2013 issue of FCERM Research News is now available and includes articles on current research and development across the Joint Defra/Environment Agency Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk (FCERM) programme.  These include details of projects which have a strong coastal focus, including a report on the trials of ‘geo humps’ for beach stabilization along the Suffolk coast.  If successful the ‘geo humps’ will provide a low cost and environmentally sensitive coast protection method. FCERM Research News is the newsletter jointly published by the Environment Agency and Defra.  The latest copy can be downloaded via this link.
