Closed – Love Sefton’s Beaches? Take part in the Sefton BeachCare Survey

People who use Sefton’s beaches – residents, visitors, expert stakeholders, Sefton staff – have an opportunity to take part in an on-line survey which will provide baseline data for the ‘Love My Beach’ Campaign, which Sefton Council is working in partnership with the Environment Agency, Keep Britain Tidy and United Utilities to deliver.

The anonymised results from the survey will give the project a baseline to raise awareness of the key issues that can affect the bathing water quality of Sefton’s coastline and so help to deliver ‘Love my Beach’, which aims to create a network of local businesses, groups and individuals, who are interested in supporting coastal services, keeping the coast clean while raising awareness of the implications of their own actions, how they can have an impact on water quality as a visitor to their local beach and also by the actions they take in their own homes. It is part of a North West-wide project and supports a national scheme to improve awareness of the new bathing water quality standards which are being brought in as part of the EU revised Bathing Water Directive.

The survey will close on 7th July.
