The Future of the Irish Sea: Strategies for Economic and Environmental Sustainability

Places are still available at the 4SEA Conference -The Future of the Irish Sea: Strategies for Economic and Environmental Sustainability – which is being held at on 12th and 13th March at the Welsh Government Office in Llandudno Junction, North Wales.

The conference has been organised by the SUSFISH project (INTERREG 4A). It will provide an arena for scientists, stakeholders and government representatives from across the Irish Sea region to present and discuss the impacts of climate change to the Irish Sea and develop strategies for mitigation and adaptation. Aspects of Food Security, Water Quality, Energy and Ecosystem Services will be discussed within the context of the interdependent nature of the Irish Sea and surrounding catchments. A key aim of the conference will be to produce guidelines for policy which involve the integrated management and sustainability of the Irish Sea for the benefit of all. The two day event will be comprised of a series of talks followed up by interactive workshops.
