New Observation Tower for Lancashire Coast

Construction has begun on a new observation tower at Rossall Point, Fleetwood. The new tower is to be 14m tall and will be the base for the National Coastwatch Institution as well as a platform for the general public and birdwatchers, affording views out over Lune Deep, the Lakeland fells,  the Fylde coast and the Irish Sea.
