Localism Bill Enacted

The Localism Bill received Royal Assent on 15th November. It introduces far-reaching changes to the planning system including abolition of regional strategies and the Infrastructure Planning Commission and the introduction of neighbourhood plans with wide community involvement. Many of the measures introduced are expected to be in place by April 2012.
